Aspen Aerogels is looking for a Marketing Communication Specialist. This position plans, develops and implements messaging for promotion of product awareness, business plans and management communications. Partner with management, business units, or sales to leverage message. Develops, enhances or revises marketing collateral for web, print or other media channels. Participates in media placement decisions. May work with outside agencies to build and execute a media strategy. May function as editor for formal business communications. May design and implement measurements to analyze messaging program effectiveness and quantify revenue generated from executed programs.


Create High-Value Content

  • Write content for our website, email campaigns, press releases, blogs, brochures, whitepapers, customer case studies and social media channels

  • Storyboard video content and lead external vendors on the product and execution

  • Auditing, evaluating, and distilling complex messaging and brand strategy so it can be translated into persuasive digital advertising copy that’s cohesive across multiple mediums

  • Measure, analyze, review and report on progress of campaigns for effectiveness and use data to drive continuous improvement

  • Manage and/or liaison with agencies, media partners, and suppliers for development of materials

Amplify the Brand

  • Support in planning and executing media initiatives to reach target audiences through appropriate channels (social media, print ads, email, paid search, face-to-face events, etc.)

  • Manage all trade shows including registrations, booth collateral, and pre- and post- show communications

  • Build and own an internal communications plan to ensure delivery of engagement strategies, key announcements, internal news, internal presentation development, internal campaigns, and events

  • Provide input into global communication messaging by ensuring U.S. business successes and updates are shared with peers in a timely and effective manner

  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism or equivalent experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in Marketing in B2B environments

  • Experience working with diverse, cross-functional, global teams and outside vendors

  • Writing samples must be provided by all candidates who are selected to interview for this position

  • Strong understanding of SEO and the social media landscape

  • Knowledge of WordPress and HubSpot a plus

  • Strong understanding of marketing tools, techniques and trends

  • Passion for writing and copywriting, and for producing high-quality work

  • Ability to analyze user needs and develop content for a specific audience directed by clearly defined purposes; adjust the level of complexity to match their needs

  • Experience distilling complex concepts into thoughtful communications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; sound judgment and strong collaborative decision-making skills.

  • Experience with LinkedIn ads a plus

  • Excellent project management, organizational skills and strong attention to detail
