Job Description Summary
The primary responsibility of this role is to develop advocacy strategy for a care area and associated products within the Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDx) portfolio. Working in partnership with advocacy groups (patient advocacy groups, medical societies, trade associations, Key Opinion Leaders) implement strategies to support patient access and end use. This role will collaborate with cross functional teams to develop and execute advocacy plans that support the commercial business units. *This role can be remote based-Midwest or East Coast.
Our PDx business is the number one global supplier of contrast media and molecular imaging agents used to enhance medical imaging exams. Used throughout all major disease area diagnostic and treatment pathways, PDx products support three patients every second around the world.
Roles and Responsibilities
Work with global and regional product, marketing and commercial teams to develop advocacy strategies and roadmaps for existing and new products based on business objectives.
Build strategies and implementation plans for partnership with advocacy groups (patient advocacy groups, medical societies, trade associations, and others) to support the achievement of reimbursement, policy, pricing and payment for the PDx portfolio and care area priorities.
Lead and co-ordinate cross-functional teams to deliver programs against agreed advocacy roadmaps.
Develop and deliver compliant, comprehensive key-opinion-leader (KOL) strategies through collaboration with key existing and other US Customers, including influencers of adoption, reimbursement, and clinical practice.
Establish and maintain close contacts with external clinical experts, directly with and through medical affairs and sales organizations, to build a network of external advisers.
Identify, monitor and act on pending and enacted legislation and governmental activities guided by appropriate internal departments, lobbyists and associations.
Keep abreast of relevant information and resources regarding industry and health care legislation.
Support efforts to address patient access barriers to PDx products through engagement with healthcare providers, thought leaders, payers, health plans, public agencies and patient advocacy groups.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in US healthcare, medical device or pharmaceutical sector.
Experience in developing partnership programs with advocacy groups.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to travel to connect with stakeholder groups (post Covid)
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
Established project management skills.
Experience in clinical therapy/diagnostic areas of oncology, neurology, or cardiology.
Understands customer needs, marketplace dynamics, industry trends.
Strong interpersonal, influencing and leadership skills.
