Job Description Summary

The Global Contrast Media & Oncology Market Access Lead is responsible for all aspects of global market access strategy development, across the current and evolving Contrast Media & Oncology Pharmaceutical Diagnostic (PDx) portfolio. The Market Access Lead will generate and synthesize payer insights and develop payer value propositions and pricing strategies to drive access across various market archetypes based on a clear understanding of the relevant stakeholders and their needs.

The PDx business is the number one global supplier of contrast media and molecular imaging agents used to enhance medical imaging exams for major disease area diagnostic and treatment pathways. PDx products support three patients every second around the world.

This role can be based either in Marlborough, MA or remote anywhere on the East Coast of US.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver market access strategies for novel radiopharmaceuticals to achieve broad access (coverage and reimbursement) at optimal prices based on tested, well vetted, and cross functionally aligned stakeholder value propositions.

  • Explore current market access strategies and value propositions for the Contrast Media portfolio and explore opportunities to drive expanded access, reimbursement, and appreciation for the value they deliver aligned to cross functional team strategies.

  • Generate and synthesize payer insights through continuous horizon scanning and in-depth understanding of payer regulations, reimbursement, and access needs for all payer stakeholders, e.g., HTA agencies, Managed Care and RBMs, Medicare and MACs, related to the Contrast Media and Oncology portions of the PDx portfolio.

  • Develop global payer value propositions to drive market access strategy through active engagement with key cross functional R&D, Regulatory, and Commercial partners to ensure endpoints required for access, coverage and reimbursement are available.

  • Support strategic price recommendation for new products and support robust lifecycle management.

  • Pioneer advanced pricing methodologies that support robust lifecycle management to deliver innovative go-to-market opportunities.

  • Ensure that the ‘Voice of the Payer’ is included with all relevant cross-functional teams.

  • Ensure that market access expertise and considerations are continuously embedded into the broader organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in healthcare, medical device, or pharmaceutical sector sufficient to have a deep understanding of the global market access environment.

  • Prior interaction with healthcare, medical device, or pharmaceutical business customers.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the development process.

  • Strong cross-functional project management, organizational and analytical skills.

Desired Characteristics

  • An advanced degree (Ph.D, MD or MBA) in healthcare, business or economics is preferred.

  • Experience supporting product launches.

  • General understanding of health economics and associated skills.

  • Experience in radiopharmaceuticals, imaging, or diagnostics.

  • Ability to work successfully and cooperatively across multiple cultures and time-zones.
