Raytheon Director, Ground and Maritime Solutions in Marlborough, Massachusetts

The Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) Integrated Communication Systems (ICS) Mission Area is seeking a Program Director to lead the Ground and Maritime Solutions Program Portfolio. The Program Director will be responsible for the strategic leadership and overall execution of a Ground and Maritime secure communications business that accounts for approx. $200M in annual revenues ($850M in 5 yr plan), and reports to the Sr. Program Director of the Protected Communications Systems (PCS) product line within ICS. Responsibilities include managing a growing programs portfolio of 7 life-cycle programs and an organization of 12 program managers involved in the opportunity capture, product development, production, and life cycle sustainment of Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) terminals, AEHF submarine masts, Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) systems, and related national protected communication systems. The PCS customer base includes the Air Force, Army, Navy, strategic allied countries (via FMS) and other US Prime contractors. The position may be located in either Marlborough, MA or Largo, FL. Role and Responsibilities: Responsible for leading a team of program managers in the day-to-day execution of all aspects of the Ground and Maritime Solutions programs and products portfolio. Maintain and improve customer relationships with the DoD acquisition customer base, DoD industry primes and end-user communities, including FMS customers. Drive program execution focus and growth focus through a rigorous business cadence of program and functional reviews Drive and execute plans for strategic investment to capture emerging market needs while maintaining core business base. Travel: Approximately 30% Required Qualifications: Minimum of 14 combined years of professional working experience in Program Management, Engineering Leadership, Operations/Production/Manufacturing Leadership, Capture Management, and Integrated Logistics Support Leadership Progressive program management/leadership experience with development, production, and sustainment programs. International customer experience a plus Proven experience in capturing new business/program(s), proposals, and customer engagement Strong background and experience in program management techniques (full Profit & Loss responsibilities) and working in a matrixed environment Proven leadership competencies, especially influential communications, strategic thinking, cultivating innovation, collaboration, developing talent, customer focus, and driving results Must obtain Program Management Certification. A Raytheon process to certify and support program managers to manage, grow and execute successful programs. Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SSBI updated within the past 5 years and the ability to obtain TS/SCI U.S. Citizenship Desired qualifications: Potential for Product Line or Mission Area leadership SATCOM technical domain knowledge Level 2 PM Certification / PMI Certification MBA or Advanced Technical Degree preferred Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with current SSBI and the ability to obtain TS/SCI Required education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Math, Science or related discipline U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance as of day one of employment. 116000
