Sunovion Corporate Communications Intern in Marlborough, Massachusetts

This summer internship will offer college and university students an amazing opportunity to gain hands on experience within the pharmaceutical industry. This program allows students to work closely with business leaders while obtaining industry insight. Interns will be tasked with both individual and group projects. The Internship Program will offer additional workshops and seminars for your career and professional development. We are seeking talented individuals within multiple areas across the organization.

Specific Internship Description:

This internship will be designed with the business need and candidate interest in mind but could include any of the following with oversight of various members of the Corporate Communications team:

  • Employee toolkit (templates, process, resources) for our internal business partners to work with Corp Comms

  • Writing feature articles and potentially developing multimedia content for internal communications channels and vehicles

  • Creating and helping to curate content to raise awareness and engage employees in business updates, cultural and CSR activities

  • Assisting with enterprise initiatives requiring communications planning and tactical execution for distribution across channels and media

  • Providing support in planning and execution of virtual and in-person company meetings and various events

  • Supporting the execution of a CSR Signature Program

Learning Goals:

  • The goal of the Corporate Communications internship is to provide a rising senior or recent college graduate with an active learning experience that allows them to demonstrate and further develop their communications knowledge and skills in a corporate setting.

  • This intern will have the opportunity to work with and learn from a seasoned team of healthcare communications professionals and be a part of a team that values participation and a collaborative spirit.

  • Product launch milestones provide an opportunity for innovative, creative thinking to maximize exposure around this important initiative.

  • The Corporate Communications intern will research, collect data on comparable milestones and prepare initial recommendations that they will present to the Corporate Communications team.

  • In addition to working with members of the Corp Comms team, the intern will have the opportunity to garner insights and partner with the Corp Comms PR agency, providing an opportunity for exposure to multiple facets of the public relations industry.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Enrolled in undergraduate or graduate degree program in Communications, English, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing, or similar disciplines.

  • Must have completed their sophomore year of study by Summer 2023

  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship

  • Abide by corporate policies, work in professional environment, and meet deadlines

  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word.)

  • Strong communication skills and passion for continued development

  • Covid-19 Vaccinations are required

Program Details:

  • Position will begin on Monday June 5, 2023

  • Position is located remotely in the US with some in-office visits possible

  • Position is full-time Monday through Friday – up to 40 hours per week

  • Candidates should be available to commit to 10 weeks
