Cardinal Health Region Manager- Hospital Sales Executive in Mansfield, Massachusetts

The Remote Hospital Sales Executive Region Manager is a sales leadership position within the Cardinal Health sales organization. This is a first line management role, responsible for leading a hybrid product and distribution sales team to achieve revenue and margin goals that exceed market growth rates, hiring and developing sales talent, and developing high level relationships with top customers. Keys to success are driving accountability to the execution of cross-functional account plans, creating a culture of effective and efficient remote sales process, meaningful use of data and technology, and continuous improvement in system understanding. The Remote Hospital Sales Executive Region Manager will need to collaborate with Field Sales leadership, Strategic Account Executives, and various marketing groups that also share remote sales channel and product responsibility.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Build and maintain positive culture of accountability while driving high performance through sales activities, performance metrics and enhanced sales process
  • Execute on sales strategies created by leadership to drive sales revenue to meet or exceed the market growth requirements for assigned products and market COT’s
  • Mentor Remote Hospital Sales Executives in the development and execution of cross-functional account plans with other sales divisions to drive growth in assigned accounts and achieve profitability goals
  • Assign sales objectives to sales representatives, evaluate performance and take all necessary steps to exceed the region, division and company goals
  • Drive Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to achieve business objectives, including sales of products owned solely by the Remote Hospital Sales Executive
  • Accountable for talent management process and communications within region, which includes selection, onboarding, performance management, TLR, diversity and inclusion
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback for sales team; participate and oversee development plans for direct reports and execute required performance improvement plans as needed
  • Inspire confidence, promote vision and purpose, and motivate sales team
  • Engage in meaningful business relationships with top Inside Sales customers, including key Corporate Accounts, IDN Partners, and key distributor partners
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments in Cardinal Health’s matrixed organization


  • Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration, Marketing, Economics), or equivalent experience in sales/marketing in a healthcare related field preferred
  • Demonstrated success in sales management or leadership experience
  • Past and/or current corporate Leadership Development Program engagement
  • Three to five (3-5) years of proven sales success
  • Five (5) or more years business experience
  • A Covid-19 vaccination or a legitimate accommodation is required in order to be employed in this position. Covid-19 vaccination includes:
  • 2 doses of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine
  • 1 dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine
