Job Description:

Estimated Duration: 12 months with possible extensions up to another 12m

Total Weekly Hours: 20-40hrs (5-8 hr days, flex between 8AM-5PM)

Interview: Phone - 30 minutes

OVERVIEW

Traditionally Company has grown through acquisition and this trend continues with their latest acquisition of the Medtronic Patient Recovery Business. Needs to rebrand all Patient Recovery packaging by the July 2023 deadline.The Production Assistant/Graphic Designer will be responsible for tracking tasks, execution, production, and on-time delivery of packaging assets for Company. The Production Assistant will be part of a team that will provide content and assets to the design team, meeting project/task timelines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute task deliverables using Adobe Creative Cloud Illustrator and InDesign, Microsoft Excel, Barcode Studio, and Kallik labeling application.

  • Prepares production-ready files to appropriate production specifications.

  • Review packaging dielines for accurate content, layering and work with Package Engineering to request updates.

  • Must be organized and manage multiple tasks, while meeting project timelines.

  • Attend weekly production staff meetings, providing status updates as required.

  • High level of attention to detail.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • University education. A Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree (Communications Arts or Graphic Design major is essential).

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a graphic design position specifically designing packaging is preferred.

  • Strong experience with labeling and SKU production work.

  • Expertise with Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Illustrator and InDesign.

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word and Excel).

  • Regulated industry work preferred.
