This position is an exciting and new opportunity that is currently part of Medtronic and will move to a to-be-named company we are calling NewCo. NewCo will be an independent company with equal partners, Medtronic DaVita. It will be established in calendar 2023 as a new company (NewCo) formed from Medtronics Renal Care Solutions Operating Unit focused on providing innovative technologies to support kidney care patients. While you will start your employment with Medtronic, upon establishment of NewCo your employment will transfer to NewCo and you will no longer be employed by Medtronic.

NewCo is uniquely poised to transform renal care and dialysis, building on Medtronics innovation and technology pipeline. The business will have the singular focus, financial commitment, deep domain expertise, and global footprint needed to accelerate the development and commercialization of affordable and scalable life-saving renal care technologies particularly our transformative home dialysis platform technologies.

A Day in the Life

The Product Manager will be expected to assist with the execution of marketing plans and initiatives to drive revenue for the Global Renal Care Solutions product portfolio. This individual will need to develop expertise with both capital disposable products that are used to deliver peritoneal dialysis for ESRD patients in the outpatient setting. Main responsibilities include working with a cross-functional team to translate initial ideas into an innovative product design, empathetically connect with healthcare professional and patient customers, and drive customer-centric market research for product development. To support these activities, this role will closely align with the global regions to understand the customer needs which will also help contribute to a robust global marketing strategy for both short-term and long-term planning.

  • Provide customer/patient insights to the cross-functional teams by developing a strong working knowledge of the patient and clinician conditions in the dialysis market.

  • Conduct market research and competitive product analysis to understand the consumer behavior and professional audience.

  • Develops production and marketing strategies and tactics to ensure effective product placement relative to market opportunity, working closely with product development for a specific product, brand, or product area over its entire life cycle.

  • Works with other functions to finalize product specifications.

  • Identify and evaluate go-to-market strategies and barriers to system adoption and assist the regional organization to successfully launch a product.

  • Develop market models and segmentation assessments to understand our key customers and financial opportunities.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required

  • Minimum of 4 years ofmarketing and product management experience or an advanced degree with 2 years of experience

  • 25% travel, including some nights and weekends.

Nice to Have

  • MBA

  • Practical knowledge and demonstrated competence within the renal space.

  • Strong inter-personal skills allowing for effective regional/customer-level support.

  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, with a results-driven mindset.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement marketing plans across geographies and product lines and customer types.

  • Experience working with unmet needs, requirements and building product launch plans.

  • Experience in collaborating with nephrology and nursing call points to drive clinical practice.

  • Ability to multi-task while managing multiple projects and day-to-day responsibilities.

  • Experience with collaborating with and being part of cross-functional teams.

  • Appreciates the need and value in collaboration and maintaining a customer-centric approach

  • Excellent written/verbal communicationskills and comfort presnting to internal and external audiences.
