What Product or Service Marketing contributes to Cardinal Health

Product or Services Marketing on theCardiologyteam is responsible for defining the product/service and market strategy and life cycle management including customer need identification, market research, product or service offering, pricing, positioning, and promotion.

Accountabilities

  • Achievement of financial targets through marketing activities related to regional enablement, product management and new product development
  • Development of global portfolio strategy for theDefibrillation Electrodes business, working with both regional marketing leaders and other internal and external experts
  • Identifying and remaining current on market trends
  • Determining product/service lifecycle implications and making recommendations to sustain a highly competitive product portfolio and compelling value proposition
  • Exhibiting an ability to translate market and customer needs into clearly defined goals, objectives, strategies, and tactics to drive sales and profitability for the business
  • Accountable for gaining and driving cross functional support from all stakeholders
  • Understanding methods available to execute primary research (VOC) that are necessary to drive portfolio and product decisions
  • Identifying market opportunities through VOC/secondary research and taking action by implementing and managing solutions that meet customers’ needs
  • Managing the globalDefibrillation Electrodes productpipeline and funnel for new product innovation and development activities, supporting and driving cross-functional alignment and execution
  • Ensuring that all product management activities align with the overall portfolio strategy and facilitating excellent communication and collaboration with stakeholders across the regions
  • Demonstrating strong financial acumen and logical decision making in the general business environment
  • Understanding and demonstrating sound thought processes related to product management, forecasting and planning, branding, project prioritization as well as an ability to assess strategic options and build business cases
  • Working effectively with regional marketing and cross functional teams including but not limited to R&D, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Inventory Planning, Finance, Quality, Regulatory and Legal

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in related field preferred strongly preferred; MBA preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in related field, preferred.
  • Medical device product management experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel 20-30% of the time domestically and internationally
