Coffee Commercialization, New Product Development Manager
As the Coffee Commercialization Manager, you will play a key role in the new product development process by building accurate baseline volume plans at the sku level and assisting in establishing volume goals for all new items. You will be responsible for tracking performance, evaluating risks and opportunities and driving continual improvements in processes. In this role, you will serve as a liaison between key stakeholders in revenue marketing, supply chain, RGM/Sales and finance to manage input to the system in order to develop the most accurate new product velocity ranges and distribution builds by channel and customer.
What you will do:
Work cross functionally with product/brand marketing, revenue growth management, sales and commercialization to develop initial volumetric forecast based on marketplace and competitive insight.
Link commercial insight and customer knowledge with consumer research and other intelligence to develop new product distribution and velocity metrics.
Ensure new item volume signal is accurately reflected into S&OP systems.
Support preparations for and submissions to the beverage portions of the wider stage gate process.
Provide key assumptions to RGM/Sales for bottoms up evaluation of new products at the customer level.
Manage and track key new item forecasting metrics and analyze results based on original criteria.
Provide analytics support for various commercial initiatives such as the sku rationalization and end of life (EOL) process.
What you must have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Statistics, Accounting, Mathematics or similar analytical degree with a minimum 5 years of experience performing sales, forecasting or marketing analysis in the consumer products industry.
High level of attention to detail
Strong deductive reasoning, statistical analysis, mathematical and communication skills
Ability to effectively mine and summarize data for interpretation
Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Access) including ability to utilize pivot tables, V-lookups, filters, and summarize data graphically
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision under tight deadlines
Ability to interact comfortably at all levels of the organization
