Job Description Summary

The Sr. Marketing Manager - Commercial Rotorcraft is part of the MSO and Edison Works marketing team in Lynn, MA. This product specialist role focuses on marketing existing and future rotorcraft technology from our military sector to our growing commercial business. The Sr. Marketing Manager will complete market analysis, remain current on industry trends, and collaborate with internal stakeholders on anything ranging from creative campaigns to deal review.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Development of business and marketing plans, including value proposition, for assigned products/offers/services; evaluation of market research, market positioning, promotions associated with assigned scope.

  • Acquire specialized knowledge across product lines, markets, sales processes, or customer groups. Requires strong commercial awareness, and is expected to influence the development of strategy for their broad sales territory, including control of resources.

  • Interpret simple internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stay informed of industry trends that may inform work.

  • Use high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems within projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, campaigns or customers. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders or customers. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.

  • May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with at least 6 years of experience in a marketing role)

Desired Characteristics:

  • Master's degree (MBA, MSE)

  • Knowledge of aviation industry

  • Strong oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to communicate to all levels of organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

  • Demonstrated ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
