General Electric Marketing Data Analytical Manager in Lynn, Massachusetts

Role Summary:

We are seeking a data-driven marketing intelligence and business analytics storyteller to help measure the impact of Current’s business and marketing investments and drive actionable insights for the org. This professional connects data from multiple sources to provide insightful and actionable analyses, reports, and dashboards that drive key business decisions. While working closely with other stakeholders, this person is the sole individual responsible for marketing analytics reporting.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Marketing Data Analytical Manager will be responsible for proactively managing datasets from various sources and online tactics to measure business, operational, product and marketing effectiveness and create actionable insights that help drive decision making in support of the company’s business objectives and goals in a highly visible and strategically important role to deliver insights that inform business strategies and develop deeper understanding of our customer, markets and business execution and performance.

Additionally, as the Marketing Data Analytical Manager, key responsibilities will include:

  • Manipulate and analyze complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources using a variety of tools and data analysis techniques

  • Define, track and report key metrics to assess overall business health

  • Deliver in depth analysis on business performance (trends, funnels) and drivers, as well as forecasts and targets

  • Effectively communicate complex concepts at an executive level and develop data-driven stories and executive presentations using PowerPoint, dashboards and infographics

  • Build / design dashboards to enable ongoing monitoring of business health

  • Work with data engineers to operationalize dashboards and ingest new data sources (provide data modeling requirements)

  • Partner with IT, sales, business operations and marketing to guide relationships between complex datasets (e.g. Salesforce)

  • Provide actionable insights on how to improve our campaigns and services, Develop and measure the impact of KPIs to help inform business decisions and marketing investments

  • Synthesize multiple qualitative and quantitative big data sets to form clear, well-supported, data-driven recommendations for non-technical audiences and present results to cross-functional teams

  • Evaluate competitive marketing penetration

  • Analyze competitors and share key insights with Executive Management

  • Own data accuracy with continuous identification and improvement plan

  • Advance analytics maturity within the firm by counseling stakeholders on how to extract value from data and make data-driven decisions to improve business and marketing activities

  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited University or College

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing analytics (Including experience leveraging analytics to influence decision making) ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT(S):

  • Deep knowledge of data analytics and visualization tools (Tableau)

  • Deep understanding of CRM data, relational database structure (Salesforce, Marketo)

  • Advanced computer software knowledge, particularly MS Excel, and high level of comfort learning new software

  • Interest in working with large data sets

  • Experience with data connection tools and API a plus

  • Strong ability to work with numbers

  • Analytical mind, able to process information logically

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including virtually

  • Ability to manage to aggressive deadlines while staying true to strategic outcomes

  • Ability to understand and communicate complex issues clearly and accurately

  • Highly organized with a meticulous attention to detail

  • Strong verbal communication and presentation abilities

  • Master’s degree from an accredited University or college a plus
