Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in a technical discipline; Master's Degree is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of professional medical device industry experience in the minimally invasive procedures space with focus on Systems Integration.
* Significant travel required including international travel.
Demonstrated success in strategic selling in large, complex opportunities.
Strong analytical capability.
Must have experience with sales training and proven track record executing SI sales strategies.
In-depth technical knowledge of SI solutions and solution selling.
Possess advanced understanding of SFDC CRM and IGNITE methodology.
Ability to develop and execute customer market development programs.
Ability to develop strategic relationships with experienced HCPs and thought leaders.
Ability to drive new technology commercialization (Upstream and Downstream activities).
Ability to develop and manage education, training and research projects with key thought leaders.
Prior experience in working with strategic physicians at academic and tertiary care centers.
Excellent communication skills with all types of (social, print, audiovisual) media.
Familiarity with MS Office, Lotus Notes and other ancillary software is essential.
Documented success in effectively managing and leading a remote team of field based professionals.
Proactive, resourceful and self-motivated.
Ability to exemplify a high level of business acumen.
Comfortable in delivering presentations to audiences in the medical and healthcare industry as well as providing training to internal and external personnel (e.g.: Olympus sales and marketing, physicians, nurses, C-suite, etc.).

As a Director, Global Commercialization working on the GCC SI team, you will be empowered and inspired to do your best work. You will contribute to our mission by leading the global commercialization efforts of our best in class system integration platform.
A typical day for you will include:
Working closely reporting to the Executive Director for Global Market Development, the Director of Commercialization will work as an integral part of the Market Development team to help regional SBCs communicate, drive and execute the Sales Strategy to grow the sales of SI solutions.
Partnering with local SBC sales teams as a key GCC-based resource to help close large and strategic opportunities globally.
Deepening expertise of the global strategy for SI as well as all available sales tools integral to achieve that strategy (this activity requires deep knowledge of complex sales process such as IGNITE, ENGAGE, and RADAR).
Creating a standardized set of selling tools for Global SBC utilization.
Leading a program for ensuring compliance and continuous improvement of the toolset to maximize sales performance.
Leading training events as a GCC resource when needed.
Liaising between regional SBC sales leaders to help understand key market-specific conditions or barriers to success and communicate these back to GCC leadership team Identify new product and solution opportunities.
Analyzing and interpreting global sales performance data and recommend improvements to regional SBC leadership.
Reporting findings to the GCC monthly, quarterly and annually.

The Director, Global Commercialization is responsible for building and owning relationships between the GCC –SI and regional SBC’s around the globe. The incumbent will work closely with the Regional SBCs to gain voice of customer, communicate product gaps and enhancements, and identify enterprise level solutions. He/She must have demonstrated experience interacting with all levels of management through oral and written communications.
