Sr. Medical Marketing Manager (Peritoneal Dialysis)

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Sr. Medical Marketing Manager is accountable for developing and executing medical marketing strategies targeting healthcare providers (HCPs) to increase adoption of Peritoneal Dialysis Home Therapies by FMC. This is a highly visible role that develops medical marketing content and programs to increase disease state awareness, clinical benefits of the home Peritoneal Dialysis therapy. The individual’s success heavily relies on deep understanding of clinical protocols, product technologies and therapy benefits, and ability to influence internal and external audiences to increase adoption of the therapy. This position directly reports to the Vice President of Home Therapies Marketing.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute medical marketing strategies to increase PD home therapies adoption

  • Develop content and messages based on clinical and field insights

  • Assess clinical educational gaps and needs and create new or update existing content

  • Incorporates evidenced-based research and national standards in clinical content development

  • Collaborate with other Marketing Team members and promote content via relevant channels

  • Collaborate with Sales Training, Sales, Clinical, Product Management and Marketing to expand clinical education programs; closely monitor clinical program effectiveness

  • Create therapy-focused content to internal customers, and drive utilization and optimization of education materials

  • Support national sales trainers in the delivery of disease state and therapy education

  • Support regional workshops with therapy content

  • Develop HCP advocates for PD therapies

  • Collaborates with medical providers and patient care staff in the planning, implementation, and delivery of educational curricula upon request

  • Initiate skill development programs within the parameters of established care models

  • Monitors trends and implements educational strategies to ensure compliance with corporate quality and compliance standards

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • BA/BS in Marketing, Public Health or Nursing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 8+ years medical marketing experiences

  • Knowledge and understanding of nursing protocol, procedures, and standards strongly preferred

  • Ability to present effectively to small and large groups live and virtual

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong strategic thinking and operational skills

TRAVEL:

  • Approximately 10%
