Cape Abilities Grant Writer in Hyannis, Massachusetts

Collaborates with Director of Development and VP of Philanthropy and Community Engagement to research, write, submit, and report on grants to private foundations, government, and other grant-making organizations. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Conducts research of grant opportunities. Develops and writes grant proposals to government, foundations and other grant-making organizations Persuasively communicates the mission and programs to potential funders. Establishes and maintains contact and relationships with grant-making organizations contacts. Maintains calendar to ensure timely submission of letter of intent, proposals, and reports. Assemble and submit grant requests, including letters, proposals, budgets, and presentations Serves as mandated reporter for suspected cases of abuse and/or neglect to the Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC). OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Performs additional duties, as assigned. PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Bachelor\'s degree. Prior experience writing grants preferred. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY No supervisory responsibility. WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS Normal working conditions.
