Product Management Advisor, VxRail Orderability Lead

Using a wealth of technical and industry experience, we work across functional areas to implement our products or solutions. We undertake thorough analysis of the markets to ensure we maximize profitability and adjust our product strategies to respond to competition. Our role also involves acting as subject matter experts for internal and external product events or partner meetings.

What you’ll achieve

Manage the life cycle of product SKUs and orderability for VxRail. Make a difference by fulfilling operational execution and driving product readiness.

You will:

  • You will work closely with VxRail Product Management Release Leads, and other cross-functional teams, including GOPO, GOE, and Services

  • Manage the requirement roadmap for VxRail product orderability in Dell Common Sales Tools

  • Plan and implement projects to add, remove, or change SKU numbers as well as configuration specifications

  • Publish project plans and execution status updates

  • Follow the Dell material creation process for model numbers

  • Define model numbers and execute the SKU life cycle management tasks to achieve cross-functional program release readiness.

  • Update product ordering and licensing guide.

  • Update product configurator guide.

  • BA/BS degree and 5+ years of relevant experience in tech environment

  • MBA preferred

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of order entry interdependencies between Dell business processes: sales, purchasing, finance, manufacturing, engineering, support and services

  • Strong understanding of Dell back end systems (OSC, Dell Star, Install base, Domino, etc.)

  • Excellent project management skills. Highly organized and great at multi-tasking. Meticulous about managing the details of every project and the impact of each detail on project success. Identify task dependencies and coordinate multiple related projects.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Great problem-solving skills. Recognize problems and obstacles quickly. Frame up issues to seek solutions and know when to escalate. Triangulate feedback from cross-functional teams

  • Good understanding of VxRail product and roadmap. Willingness to develop technical knowledge about the product and release programs, to be able to define and assign project tasks.
