As part of the Global Field and Partner Marketing (GF&PM) team, the Communications Sr. Advisor will be responsible for developing and executing an end-to-end internal and executive communications plans for the SVP of Global Field and Partner Marketing. The role will report to the GF&PM Chief of Staff and will have responsibility for the overall communications strategy, counsel and deliverables related to executive visibility through speaker engagements, team member communications, sales communications and external messaging and platforms, including social media.

Communication vehicles and platforms will include keynotes, blogs, videos, media opportunities, analyst briefings, internal channels and social/digital platforms. The executive internal communications plan will focus on maintaining team members engaged and informed of team’s priorities, achievements, business strategy, recent product launches and other relevant topics. This role will be responsible for managing the quarterly All Hands meeting as well as some other team member events. Additionally, this role will manage the quarter marketing accreditation program for Global Field and Partner Marketing.


  • Lead overall Executive Communications for the SVP of Global Field and Partner Marketing

  • Develop and execute internal and external communications plan aligned to strategy and objectives

  • Develop executive speaking platforms including speech writing, presentation development and some event management (all hands meetings)

  • Ensure communications plan and timeline are integrated with other company, business strategy and business unit initiatives

  • Identifies opportunities to innovate through the use of new platforms or technologies to support the communications plan

  • Provide communications support for the SVP of Global Field and Partner Marketing at company and industry events.

  • Determine areas of integration with other corporate initiatives/BUs/campaigns/launches and integrate messaging as appropriate.

  • Identifies opportunities and highlights risks; provides regular counsel and advise to senior leadership as appropriate

  • Manage the Global Field and Partner Marketing Inside Dell space

  • Manage quarterly marketing accreditation program for Global Field and Partner Marketing

  • Serve as trusted strategic editorial consultant to the business and senior leadership

  • Write dynamic copy for multiple formats of tone and voice, e.g. conversational, instructional, informative, analytical, etc.

  • Proactively investigate compelling story ideas across the business


  • A Bachelor's degree in English/language/literature, communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or a related field is required

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6-8 years of communications experience (ideally technology-related), and experience managing executive communications for a senior executive

  • Very strong writing, editing, speech writing and presentation development skills

  • Strong project/program management skills with the ability to drive planning and ensure flawless execution.

  • Strategic approach to problem-solving and proactive troubleshooting abilities.

  • Strategic and technical understanding of blog platforms, video production and webcasts

  • Excellent interpersonal and executive presence skills, including a proven ability to develop and maintain relationships at all levels of a company.

  • The candidate must be a self- starter and driver.
