Director, Sales Planning & Strategy - Enterprise Run the Business

General Summary

As part of the Business & Sales Planning organization, this position is responsible for the Run the Business support for Global Enterprise Sales. The individual will be responsible for activities including:

Sales Planning & Forecasting

  • Drive integrated “business plan” activities with Field Sales, BUs, Market Intel, and Data Science teams

  • Manage weekly field bookings and margin forecast process

  • Ensure quota deployment practices are delivered, controlled, and provide coverage against plan

  • Coordinate Weekly Ops Meetings

  • Manage Enterprise Sales RTBS, QBRs, and Executive AnalyticsCapacity Planning

  • Optimize budget and resourcing model to drive leveraged growth across, Field, Specialty, Functions

  • Manage productivity metrics to help drive expected sales behavior Account Planning

  • Manage Enterprise account planning and resource assignment processes

  • Lead cross-functional implementation of account plans to support AOP growth requirements

  • Develop account intelligence, drive strategic transformation, and provide governance model

  • Provide oversight of Business Continuity programAnalytics and Crediting

  • Drive daily / weekly executive analytics on key booking & margin operational metrics, productivity analysis, and pipeline

  • Provide analysis to support Staff and Quarterly Business Reviews

  • Enable transactional data tracking, visibility, and assignment of rep credit for global portfolio of commissionable products (specific to non-EMC paper items) Differentiating Competencies

Required Experiences

  • Field experience to help drive better decisions at the corporate level

  • Experience managing large cross functional / multi responsibility teams

  • Experience in managing teams in multiple regions of the world

  • Executive relationships across multiple Teams/Organizations

  • Coaching/mentoring

  • Typically requires 14+ years of professional experience and 7+ years diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization and people motivation skill (or equivalent experience).
