Global Communications is seeking a Sr. Advisor to lead internal and executive communications for the Chief Technology Officers (CTO) for the Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) and the Client Solutions Group (CSG).
Developing the holistic strategy and plan for communicating vision, mission, priorities and initiatives to team members in the ISG Office of the CTO
Implementing the internal communications plan, including translating business strategy, initiatives and progress into clear messages for ISG CTO team members; providing communications counsel to senior leadership; developing communication materials, including talking points, presentations, written strategy updates and select Intranet content; producing communications for events and forums, such as quarterly town hall meetings and team member roundtables; and developing change management plans and materials
Executing the external communication activities for the ISG and CSG CTOs, in partnership with colleagues in Public Relations and Analyst Relations. This includes producing fresh, innovative content for the CTOs’ external engagements, such as press and analyst meetings and presentations at industry events; and crafting blog content
Measuring the effectiveness of the communications programs and providing regular updates to leadership
Ensuing the unique OCTO perspective on the future technology inflections and associated opportunities for P&O are communicated to the broader org; also ensuring ISG and CSG CTOs’ stories are included in pan-Dell communications activities and vehicles, as appropriate
Maintaining stakeholder relationships to identify communications needs and opportunities
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or a related field
At least 10 years’ experience in a Marketing / Communications function for a major technology player
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Experience developing compelling presentation materials, including proficiency in PowerPoint
Experience providing strategic communications counsel to senior executives
Project, process, and program management skills
Adept relationship management skills
Strong problem solving skills
Enjoys collaborating and working as part of a larger team
Ability to execute through times of change and uncertainty
Knowledge of and experience with change management communications a plus
Video and video editing experience a plus
