Our Product Management role will responsible for Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) products within Siemens Electrical Products business unit, which is part of Smart Infrastructure Operating Company. This role will be responsible for these products' portfolio management, including portfolio strategy, product roadmaps, new product introductions, pricing, and overall product lifecycle management. The ATS Product Manager will have special focus on the commercial and general duty markets, owning the development of expanded product offerings and corresponding market launch activities. This is an excellent role for an experienced product management professional in the electrical industry, or for an individual with an engineering, business marketing or sales background that has a strong proficiency and desire for product portfolio management responsibilities.

You will make impact with the following responsibilities:

  • Own the Automatic Transfer Switch product portfolio for the North American market.

  • As stated above, this position will have heavy focuses on portfolio strategy, product roadmap development /management, project management, launching new products, pricing strategy and general product lifecycle management from inception to obsolescence.

  • This is a cross-functional role that will involve regular coordination with many departments including but not limited to R&D, Application Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Logistics, Pricing, Finance, and Data Management.

  • Estimated travel in this role is approximately 20%.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering; Engineering Management or Business Marketing

  • 5+ years of proven experience in professional work environment.

  • 5+ years of combined product management, marketing, sales, logistics or R&D experience preferably with emergency power systems, electrical or electromechanical products.

  • Validated experience in product lifecycle management (PLM) or general project management

  • Strong technical proficiency - ability to interpret and author technical product specifications

  • Excellent communication skills - verbal / non-verbal and technical / non-technical

  • Strong data analysis, problem solving, report writing, and presentation skills

  • Ability to multitask and manage different projects and product management activities per a schedule

  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally (20%).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the emergency power system industry is highly preferred.

  • Knowledge and experience with electrical products and emergency power systems

  • Intermediate level of skill and capability with SAP and Tableau

  • The pay range for this position is $108k-$155k. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location. This position can be filled at a higher or lower level depending on candidate's qualifications.
