Athena Health Care Systems Resident Care Assistant (RCA) in Haverhill, Massachusetts
We are hiring a Resident Care Assistant (RCA) to join our dynamic care team at The Oxford Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Haverhill!
Full-time with weekly pay starting at $16 an hour. Schedule is 8a-4p.

As an RCA, you provide the resident with a clean, orderly and comfortable environment while at our center.
Education & Experience:
On-the-job training provided.
High school diploma or its equivalent preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Answer call bells of the residents.
Assist residents with virtual visits.
Deliver meals to the residents.
Assist residents who are not on aspiration or swallowing risks during meals.
Pass water pitchers.
Performs incontinent care in bed to residents who are able to move in bed.
Provides full or partial bed bath.
Assists residents in dressing and personal hygiene.
Assists CNAs during provision of with residents requiring 2-staff assistance except in mechanical transfer.
Assists in getting residents’ weights.
Provide the resident with a clean orderly room.
Make occupied residents’ beds in an orderly and timely fashion.
Help organize and maintain clean work room, linen carts, linen room and make efficient use of linens.
Need mattress replacement promptly reported to nursing department.
Linen handled according to infection control policies and procedures.
Clean closets, drawers, and stands.
Label beds, rooms, closets, etc.
Transport residents.
Specific Requirements:
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions.
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
Must possess the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.
Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
Must be able to communicate effectively to appropriate personnel regarding emergency situations.
