Title: Business Development Professional

Location: Hanscom AFB area

This position is a full time remote, office from home position. Must be able to get on Base and visit customers regularly. Our ideal candidate will live within a 60 minute commute of Hanscom AFB.

Relocation to this area will be offered on an as needed basis.

Job Description: Business Development Representative to lead and drive new business pursuits. This individual will oversee all phases of the capture process including early opportunity identification, requirements shaping, qualification, competitive assessments, development of “win” strategies, preparation of the proposal, and lead the overall pursuit activity for domestic markets. Qualified candidates will have a thorough understanding of the USAF acquisition customer at Hanscom AFB, Massachusetts, and associated business development process, including prior experience in business capture and proposal development, and/or a leadership position in a military or Department of Defense/USAF.

Essential Functions: This position will execute business development activities (campaign, individual pursuits, and the associated strategy) in the following areas:

  • Strategic development of advanced tactical communications, Electronic Warfare, PNT and ISR capabilities for USAF and other DoD and interagency components

  • Air Domain awareness to include combat air forces, mobility air forces, nuclear deterrence, battle management and command and control, and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance mission sets.

  • Customer engagement with prime platform contractors and Government agencies

  • Partner engagement with industry peers and small business

  • Roadwarrior level travel is required, 75+% of the month

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, program management, or closely related discipline.

  • 10+ years of directly-related work experience in a military or Department of Defense business development, engineering or program management environment is required.

  • Recent experience with Air Force command, control, communication is required.

  • Must have an active Secret security clearance and be interested and eligible for a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance

  • Proven track record in building and maintaining relationships in our industry.

  • Experience with the government acquisition and requirement development process is essential.

  • Must be accustom and able to regular travel throughout the year.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance is preferred.

  • Master’s degree preferred.

  • Currently live within a 60 minute commute of Hanscom AFB

  • Good oral and written communication skills are required.

  • Experience with Joint All-Domain Command and Control, Air Staff, and Air Force PEOs/acquisition elements is preferred.

  • Experience in the creation of business capture/strategy development, prioritized investment plans, and corporate teaming/proposal development experience is strongly preferred.

  • Experience in marketing, sales, and writing successful proposals is preferred.

  • General computer literacy, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and/or similar tools required.

  • 20 years preferred of directly-related work experience in a military or Department of Defense business development, engineering or program management environment
