NELCWIT Development Director in Greenfield, Massachusetts

GREENFIELD The Development Director?s primary responsibilities are contract and grant management and achieving fundraising and development goals for the organization. This position also serves an important role as a member of NELCWIT?s co-director team, along with the Program Director and Clinical Director. NELCWIT?s co-director team works together to provide leadership for the organization. Responsibilities: Contract & Grant Management Responsible for grant submissions, including copy editing and formatting proposals, assembling applications and submitting final package to funder Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual grant reports Manage and oversee expenses billed to grants and ensure that monthly budget reconciliations are correct Manage and oversee contract and grant budgets with assistance from outsourced financial consulting firm Serve as primary contact for state and local funders Maintain all contract information and funder communications Oversee all grant and contract activities in coordination with outsourced financial consulting firm and NELCWIT management team Maintain correct employee salary allocation information in accordance with contract and grant funding and requirement Work with program staff to ensure all employees are trained on program data collection to facilitate timely report submission Attend mandatory grant trainings and meetings Prepare copies of all grant contracts and amendments for year-end auditor Manage the enrollment of program and management staff for Commbuys, Virtual Gateway, and other online grant submission accounts Maintain the filing and organization of supporting documents for grant submissions including audits, 990?s and organization charts Development Develop annual fundraising plan to reach agency?s goals, including individual donor strategies Oversee fundraising activities, including direct mail campaigns and agency marketing, including collaboration with staff, volunteers and Board members Develop and monitor fundraising budgets and prepare fund development reports for the co-director team and Board of Directors Research, identify and apply for new funding opportunities, in coordination with the co-director team Identify and respond to opportunities to build new relationships with businesses, community groups, and individuals that will generate support for the agency Manage Donor Perfect database, including data entry, correspondence with donors, and the production of donor income reports Maintain strong relationships between the organization and its donor base Agency Leadership Work in collaboration with NELCWIT co-director team to provide leadership for NELCWIT Effectively interface with all levels of the organization to coordinate contract and grant management and development activities Report on updates and changes in contracts, grants and funding to appropriate parties at NELCWIT Represent agency at community events and networking opportunities Supervise staff, as needed Some travel for meetings, conferences and events required Other Serve as back-up on the following tasks: Bi-weekly payroll Receiving and processing incoming and outgoing mail Accounts receivable including checks, credit card donations, and cash Qualifications: Experience in grants and contracts management At least 5 years of experience in fundraising Demonstrated experience researching, identifying and applying for funding opportunities Bachelor?s Degree or higher, or significant experience in grant management/writing with demonstrated track record of success Experience with collective decision making and/or working as part of a leadership team preferred Experience in supervising staff, interns, or volunteers Understanding of survivor trauma and the dynamics of domestic and sexual violence see full job description for details
