Our client is hiring a Technical Product Manager. As a Technical Product Manager at our client, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our technology products and solutions. You will be responsible for managing the development, enhancement, and lifecycle of our client's technical product offerings, ensuring that they align with our strategic goals and deliver exceptional value to our customers. This position requires a strong blend of technical expertise, product management skills, and a deep understanding of customer needs in the retail industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy and Roadmap: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap for our client's technical products. Collaborate with stakeholders to define product vision, goals, and milestones, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market demands.

  • Requirements Gathering and Documentation: Conduct in-depth market research, customer interviews, and competitive analysis to identify customer pain points and gather requirements for new features and enhancements. Document detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to guide the development process.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, designers, quality assurance, and stakeholders, to ensure successful product development and delivery. Foster effective communication and collaboration across teams to meet project timelines and objectives.

  • Product Development and Release: Drive the product development process, including feature prioritization, sprint planning, and backlog management. Work closely with engineering teams to ensure timely and high-quality product releases, adhering to Agile methodologies and best practices.

  • Product Performance Analysis: Continuously monitor and analyze the performance of our client's technical products, using data-driven insights to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of product initiatives.

  • Market and Competitive Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and competitor offerings in the retail sector. Conduct regular market and competitive analysis to identify emerging opportunities and potential threats, and provide recommendations for product enhancements or new product initiatives.

  • Customer Advocacy: Act as a customer advocate throughout the product development lifecycle. Gather customer feedback, conduct user testing, and incorporate user-centered design principles to ensure that our client's technical products meet customer expectations and deliver a seamless user experience.

  • Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate product updates, roadmap plans, and project statuses to stakeholders at various levels of the organization. Collaborate with stakeholders to manage expectations, address concerns, and ensure alignment with business goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical product management, software development, or a related role.

  • Strong technical background with a solid understanding of software development methodologies and technologies.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing the lifecycle of technical products, from conception to launch.

  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, JIRA).

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable product requirements.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of the retail industry and customer experience best practices is highly desirable.

  • Certification in Product Management (e.g., Certified Product Manager) is a plus.
