Our Senior Production Planners develop innovative full-service production solutions for the TJX organization. They are responsible for producing marketing content for creative projects spanning multi-channels such as print, digital, social, mobile, and motion graphics. That entails providing accurate, timely estimates with alternative solutions for cost avoidance; purchasing the printing of various collateral materials and professional services for marketing, retail, internal corporate, and special projects; partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and vendor teams to ensure that all deliverables meet quality expectations; attending press checks, proofs content, and brings recommendations on how to improve content production; planning and ensuring the proper distribution of materials through internal and external channels; keeping current on content production, technology, and vendor services. They play a primary role in expanding their own skills, services, and capabilities and those of the department, to stay aligned with business priorities, as needs evolve.


  • Content production beginning with concept and following through to execution

  • Accurate color review/correction, estimating (triple-bidding), specification development, mechanical reviews, proof management, fulfillment and distribution tracking, walkthrough management, invoice processing, concept support

  • Ensure content delivery in a timely fashion, on budget, and pricing is competitive

  • Partners with the Marketing Services team to schedule, resource, oversee, and deploy high profile work every day

  • Review and communicate potential concerns or risk and provide recommendations on solutions to ensure deliverables are on time

  • Manage vendor partner relationships (RFP’s and selection, progress of jobs, timelines, ship schedules, proof review, delivery, distribution, innovation)

  • Handle the distribution of digital/social content to various vendors and partners

  • Partner with external agencies/vendors as needed

  • Recommend new and efficient processes and SOP’s to manager

  • Improve own performance/knowledge base to exceed standards

  • Train and coach production staff as needed


  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working in Agency or in-house Marketing creative production settings

  • Experience developing creative and production timetables

  • Experience in a creative agency or retail production environment

  • Hand-on experience with digital and print content

  • Mastery of digital and large format printing, web/sheetfed/direct mail/pre-press, 4c printing

  • Experience in multi-channel marketing content (print, digital, social, mobile, and motion graphics)

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, problem solving, and analytical skills

  • Able to lead people and manage processes through a continually changing environment

  • Must be self-motivated, positive, have a high degree of integrity, dependability & participate as a team member to achieve common goals with sense of urgency

  • Superior interpersonal skills and the ability to positively manage conflict

  • Able to travel to local TJX stores, attend store walk-throughs, be responsible for the set-up of all components at store (including hanging signs, adhering window clings, and other material as needed)

  • Can travel to press checks both domestically and internationally (by whatever mode of transportation is necessary and be able to stay at check until it is complete)

  • Exemplary critical thinking, organizational, time management, and negotiation abilities

  • Ability to proactively build and nurture working relationships

  • A proven keen eye for detail, color, and design aesthetics

  • Must be able to lift 10 pounds and stand for extended periods of time

  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment with a willingness to adapt and change quickly to meet changing market conditions

  • Ability to quickly resolve issues related to content creation/delivery

  • Ability to prioritize and handle a large volume of projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency in Adobe CC, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and file transfer apps

  • Expert Mac OS and computer skills
