International Data Group Marketing Specialist in Framingham, Massachusetts
IDC’s IEP Product Portfolio assists businesses and IT leaders, as well as the suppliers who serve them, in making more effective technology decisions by providing accurate, timely, and insightful fact-based research and consulting services. We are currently seeking a Marketing Specialist who strives to be part of a dynamic area within IDC. You’d be working closely with sales, and our research thought leaders to develop and execute marketing, audience development and lead generation initiatives. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, team-player with the ability to prioritize and can work independently.
Playing a key role in the development and execution of marketing programs that include various marketing channels (e.g., email, social, Web, print, web conferences and in-person events) that will increase awareness and leads for this product offering.
Tracking, measuring, and reporting results on all marketing campaigns to recommend future marketing strategies.
Working closely with sales teams to ensure marketing tools to support the IEP sales process are developed.
Assisting in development of marketing materials including press releases, brochures, fact sheets, analyst listings, presentations and web content positioned towards the IT executive end user audience.
Publishing content in multiple formats including desktop publishing documents.
Planning, managing and executing email campaigns that generate awareness and lead generation.
Ensuring campaigns are complete from list management, email creation to campaign delivery and sales follow-up.
Assisting with and execute on industry events IDC and the Insights groups are participating in to showcase our IEP product offering. Ensure proper materials are available at the events to showcase thought leadership.
Developing campaigns/initiatives for events that will increase exposure to end user audience and maximize participation.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field
3+ years’ experience in marketing communications
Strong writing skills and experience creating B2B marketing content
Ability to interact with individuals at various levels across the organization
Experience in all Microsoft Office programs
Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Google Analytics and SEO a must
Strong project management skills
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Strong writing and communication skills are important
