Essential Duties, Critical Success Factors, Responsibilities, Authorities and Required Interactions:
The Market Research and Sales Intelligence Manager is responsible for developing and implementing market research plans in support of growing our core LCMS business spanning five major market verticals, and for coordinating the collection of sales (competitive) intelligence. This individual will work with Market and Product Management teams to define and scope new potential addressable markets and drive improved organizational understanding of market trends, buyer personas, external drivers, and competitive landscapes. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven ability to assess new markets and determine critical dimensions of value and information that guide new product development and effective business decisions. He or she will possess the ability to rapidly learn and understand new analytical workflows, synthesizing diverse sets of information in order to probe value and build customer intimacy. In addition to hands-on leadership and execution of market research projects, responsibilities will include the development of standard work as well as coordination of multiple simultaneous team efforts in a highly-matrixed organization.
Responsible for the following activities: Design and execute Market Research projects to determine attractive segments and problems for future product development, articulating potential value with fact-based evidence gathering. Coordinate the continuously collection of competitive intelligence within the LC/MS business unit to support sales and product development activities. Define a central repository for market and competitive data and organize this information by market segment and/or product family. Support efforts to develop new primary and secondary segmentation within each market and help identify potential target markets for new product and market opportunities. Support Market and Product Management in efforts to define market problems which are urgent, pervasive, and for which people are willing to pay.
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a science, with demonstrated experience in Product Marketing. MBA or other advanced degree a strong plus. Demonstrated knowledge/familiarity with analytical sciences or related experience preferred.

Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities and changing business needs. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently and through effective lateral influencing Strong process orientation, problem solving and troubleshooting skills and a firm commitment to quality Willingness to travel (internationally).
