What you’ll be doing:
The role of the Manager, Digital Merchandising Strategy is to support the Digital Business team in delivering a best-in-class digital experience. The position will be responsible for developing and executing a user-friendly recommendations and personalization strategy throughout the customer onsite journey on Staples.com & Staples Advantage. This role will partner closely with the Digital CX and Site Merchandising teams, Product and SDS teams, and Analytics teams.
Work cross-functionally with other professionals such as Product Managers, Developers, Analytics and Merchants
Leverage analytics to understand customer behavior and impact to business
Coordinate with peers to drive cohesive strategy and execution
Responsible for delivering user-friendly web elements and improving on key pages throughout the purchase funnel across both Staples.com & Staples Advantage
Work cross-functionally to understand customer and business needs and align recommendations and personalization strategy accordingly
Ensure consistent, high-quality service by developing and maintaining dedicated, strong relationships with primary customers of the team
Pursue cutting edge strategies and partner with vendors as needed to maintain competitive landscape
Works directly with vendors, developers and product managers to maintain cutting edge product
Work to improve the team’s performance by pursuing opportunities for continuous learning/feedback

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications
7 years of experience within eCommerce, managing digital programs or digital merchandising
Strong understanding of P&L and levers to impact growth and profitability
Experience collaborating and planning with agile teams
Knowledge of browser troubleshooting and debugging practices and techniques
Knowledge of SEO principles
What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications
BA/BS in business, marketing or equivalent work experience
Experience with digital content management and AI tools
