General Scope and Summary

Sage Therapeutics is searching for a creative, resourceful, integrative systems thinker for an important role as Sage’s Employee Experience Manager. The successful candidate will help shape the experience of 400+ Sageans across the U.S. You will partner closely with members of our People & Experience team to manage cross-functional teams who are passionate about our employee experience and culture. You will bring a love for building great company culture and creating employee experiences that foster connection, inclusion, and inspiration in a virtual and in-person world.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the successful execution of culture-related events and activities, including “All Sage” gatherings.

  • Manage and partner with external vendors to drive execution of initiatives when needed and within our brand and corporate guidelines.

  • Lead, develop, and maintain the creation of the company events road map.

  • Excel at building relationships and networks within Sage to continuously identify and execute opportunities to increase emotional connection for employees across the U.S., in a virtual and eventually “Flex” world.

  • Project manage cross-functional teams working to improve employee experience at Sage, including our Experience team, Events team, and other activity teams and groups.

  • Partner with our Internal Communication and P&E Operations and Analytics team to successfully execute our voices valued strategy.

  • Project manage and execute Sage’s Social Impact initiative from employee volunteer activities to nurturing partnerships in the community in partnership with cross-functional teams and groups.

Experience, Education and Specialized Knowledge and Skills

Must thrive working in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient. Attention to detail is critical. Must have excellent interpersonal skills with a knack for developing important stakeholder relationships and leading without authority. Must have the ability to work with key stakeholders to develop relevant and realistic plans, programs, and recommendations.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working on Culture or Employee Experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working in Culture or Employee Experience with a project management/event planning focus.

  • Strong, solution-oriented team player that has a “customer success” approach.

  • Extensive events experience from design to execution.

  • Inclusive manager who has a successful track record working with dispersed high-performing cross-functional teams and collaborations across an enterprise.

  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence, humility, cultural competence, feedback skills, and the ability to sustain trusted relationships with a wide array of people across all levels and functions.

  • Highly skilled communicator and project manager with experience coaching/facilitating cross-functional teams and an ability to influence across levels.

  • Flexibility and experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while exercising effective judgment in challenging situations and remaining calm under pressure.

  • Experience with Workday and Sharepoint is a plus.

  • Experience working with all levels of management and consulting with key business stakeholders; an ability to influence for greater outcomes.

  • Attention to detail and the ability to work individually, within a multi-disciplinary team, as well as with external partners and vendors.

  • Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills.
