  • Responsible for the strategic planning of digital capabilities for all areas of Biologics Development.

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining collaborative partnerships with BD stakeholder (PhD scientists, PhD engineers, managers and directors [D6-D9]), becoming a trusted partner and advisor to BD by maintaining domain and functional knowledge related to biologics development. In addition, maintain an appropriate understanding of information science and technology.

  • Effective matrix leader of indirect, partner IT and strategic external partner resources, ensuring that all IT functions are successful in their delivery of services to BD.

  • Identifies and helps implement process improvements and IT innovations to support the Biologics Development strategy and objectives

  • Generate comprehensive documentation for projects as required. Including, business process maps, requirements documents, use cases, functional and technical specifications, test plans & scripts

  • Ensures that business outcomes are realized for IT projects

  • Act as project manager and develop expertise in specific technologies as needed

  • Preferred 8+ years experience combined with an BS/MS degree in related sciences or technologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to elicit, interpret, and document business and functional requirements, particularly in a scientific area

  • Proven experience in partnering with IT build/run teams to translate business requirements into IT solutions that yield positive business outcomes

  • Demonstrated experience and ability to lead planning and implementation of digital capabilities for scientific business partners preferably in biologics development

  • Demonstrated communication and influencing skills that effectively build trust and collaboration with partner organizations

  • Hands-on, focus on delivery of scientific and process IT capability to advance the development of our biologic modalities.

  • Experience working with validated applications

  • Current knowledge of available technology to capture, analyze, manage, and share data and information within and outside of the organization, and demonstrated ability to apply this knowledge with strategic intent.

  • Familiar with commercial-off-the-shelf applications used for pharmaceutical development with particular attention to biologics development and drug substance manufacturing

  • Experience with documenting business processes and building business process maps

  • Ability to travel up to 15%
