Citizens Bank Point of Sale Platform Experience Owner in Dedham, Massachusetts

Description

Citizens is a leader in the Point of Sale market and is experiencing rapid growth, partnering with leaders including Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Best Buy and Vivint. This role will be responsible for architecting and building our point of sale solution set to deliver on the next phase of growth for the business.This will enable strategies that power our merchant partners’ sales and loyalty with their customer base while providing them with a comprehensive capability that enables omni-channel point of sale experiences. .

Key responsibilities for this role include:

·Lead strategic planning, discovery, and execution of POS platform roadmap, including defining the product vision, business case and key success metrics and managing the end to end output of the team.

·Work with key business stakeholders and partners to decompose vision into minimal viable product sets of feature and stories to ensure a harmonized product backlog prioritized on highest value delivered.

·Partner with Solution Architects/Engineers to manage, and optimize our core line of credit and installment lending platform to ensure it is leveraged in a common and scalable way across partners; continuously improve platform effectiveness and efficiencies across all modules, identifying opportunities to improve customer experience, cost, and control

·Identify gaps in platform and solutions in partnership with Engineering, to fill gaps and opportunities to drive further differentiation in the platform, through either internal development or partnership with FinTechs/partners

·Solution with merchants to identify product(s), configurations and capabilities to bring to bear for specific partner needs while leveraging core components of the platform

·Oversee successful delivery of projects and BAU maintenance of platform; this will require partnering with change management function for prioritization and then owning execution by directing internal engineering and digital teams and overseeing development and configuration changes by vendors

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following:

·Strong Product and Strategic mindset, with technical understanding of lending, payment and authorization models, APIs/interface design, communications, and digital servicing technologies

·Experience leading product/platform management in a modern operating model – serve as leader on Agile team, direct pod of cross-functional resources around execution, maniacal focus on customer-based design, with demonstrated ability for continuous learning, growth mindset, and strong empowerment working with the team daily

·Ability to incorporate an outside in view to refine the product strategy & roadmap, considering customer insights, market changes & competitor landscape, with passion for new technologies and solutions

·Demonstrated leadership to work with technologists to provide effective technical solutions to functional challenges, and apply technical operating and project standards based on achieving excellence in delivered products, technologies and services.

·Ability to quickly translate business and partner needs into solutions and ultimately detailed product design requirements to provide to engineering teams for development

·Rally teams around an optimistic and compelling future vision. Break down boundaries to bring the right people together. Be agile, flexible and adaptable

·Prior experience in digital application/originations, credit decisioning, and/or Point of Sale technologies preferred
