Cell Signaling Technology Pricing Strategist in Danvers, Massachusetts

Location: Danvers, MA or Leiden, NL

CST is seeking a Pricing Strategist who will be responsible for developing pricing strategies and solutions that drive revenue yield, and the advancement of pricing infrastructure for CST globally. The Pricing Strategist is expected to develop an in-depth understanding of the data and tools available and needed for managing pricing and promotional strategies to increase the effectiveness of pricing decisions on the health of the portfolio. The primary focus of this role will be to manage and grow global revenue yield for CST through creating pricing strategies as well as determining system solutions, recommending pricing proposals, and negotiating strategies that incorporate competitive pricing practices. S/he will serve as a pivotal resource for pricing decisions across the full portfolio.

The Pricing Strategist is responsible for creating and analyzing global promotional pricing activities, understanding if/how CST should leverage them and creating an in-depth analysis of each program to determine impact to the business. S/he has ownership to create and maintain the pricing model and is the first point of contact for any pricing queries. The pricing strategist also supports financial, business analysis and management reporting and conducts financial analysis on profitability enhancing opportunities and strategies.

The Pricing Strategist is part of the Lifecycle management team within the Marketing organization and is responsible for enhancing CST gross margin through pricing and promotional recommendations. S/he works closely with our product managers, strategic marketers, regional marketers and sales teams globally.

  • Provide disciplined analytics support through data mining, data modeling, data analysis, and cost/benefit analysis to optimize pricing and promotions across customers and channels.

  • Partner with assigned product managers to analyze market trends, product volumes, profit margins, competitor and retailer dynamics, promotional tactics, and long-term product strategies.

  • Provide recommendations on the creation and executions of product, segment, or region-specific pricing and promotional strategies.

  • Develop, update and report to management and business partners on key pricing performance indicators to track the performance of in-market pricing actions.

  • Utilize available tools and data sets to make clear and concise fact-driven recommendations and solutions.

  • Proactively look for opportunities to optimize base and promotional pricing across our portfolio.

  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and work on special projects as necessary in support of CST Revenue Management initiatives and the needs of the Lifecycle Management team.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field

  • 5+ years of analytical, strategy and/or business operations experience

  • 3+ years in role focused on the development and implementation of pricing strategies

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Preferably 2+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, investing or high-performance professional services firm

  • Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships

  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to think outside the box

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
