The (Senior) Digital Content Producer is responsible for creating digital content for use on BC Social, BC Web, and other University Communications distribution vehicles. The role of the (Senior) Digital Content Producer will be split between professional video production and social media monitoring, with 50% of the job spent creating professional video content, 25% of the job creating custom social media content and vertical video, and the remaining 25% spent monitoring BC social media channels.
Reporting to the Director of Creative Video Services with a dotted line to Social Media, the (Senior) Digital Content Producer will support professional video productions, which includes the shooting of interviews and creative b-roll, to support the marketing needs of Admission and the university’s eight schools and colleges. Additionally, the (Senior) Digital Content Producer will create custom social content and vertical video on frequent, fast-paced deadlines, tailoring the content specifically for social media consumption.
The (Senior) Digital Content Producer will also work closely with the Social Media Manager to capitalize on digital content creation trends and assist in the monitoring, content planning, and analytical analysis necessary to support BC’s social media channels.
Title and salary commensurate with relevant experience based on the following titles and hiring ranges:
Non-senior level: $52,400 - $65,500; 1-3 years professional experience
Senior level: $57,850 - $72,300; 3-5 years professional experience
●Excellent portfolio of visual work & content creation
●Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
●Excellent editing and content creation skills with an emphasis on meeting frequent and fast-paced deadlines
●Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, particular emphasis on Premiere Pro
●Proficient with 4K DSLR cameras and Cinema Cameras for digital content creation
●Excellent knowledge of social media platforms, content management, and content creation
●Strong knowledge of social media analytics & assessment tools
●Expertise with TikTok & Instagram Reels for vertical content creation
●Understanding of higher education field and digital environment preferred
●Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Film Studies, or related field
●Senior level: 3-5 years of related experience
●Non-senior level: 1-3 years of related experience
