Job Description

The Assistant Program Director for the Church in the 21st Century Center will share responsibility and personally engage in the Center’s mission, to be a catalyst and resource for the renewal of the Catholic Church. The position oversees all aspects of the C21 Center’s franchise programs: Agape Latte, Espresso Your Faith Week, Faith Feeds, Breakfast with God, Drawing God, including the onboarding and stewarding of hundreds of established and new partnerships nationally, with high schools, colleges and parishes. The Assistant Director will assist and/or observe 1-2 evening programs each week.

The Assistant Program Director will lead recruitment, training and marketing efforts, while setting guidelines for partnerships and retention. Experience volunteering or working in a ministry and/or Catholic educational setting is key. Leadership on student service programs and/or religious retreats indicates a strong candidate. A preference will be given to candidates with a theological/pastoral background and a vision to break new ground and enhance the Center’s outreach and service to the life of the Church. The position requires some travel and overnight stays.

The Assistant Program Director should be a team player and work in collaboration with the Associate Director and Director on established and new C21 initiatives.

Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $52,400 to $65,500; salary commensurate with relevant experience.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required; one to three years’ experience in marketing or communications and demonstrated graphic design/production, social media and event management skills.

Background in theology or church ministry strongly preferred.

*Continuously develops own set of competencies by taking advantage of training opportunities and through self-teaching.

*Works successfully in a team-based environment.

*Proficient with Excel, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator

*Ability to supervise student workers

*Knowledgeable about webpage development and proven ability to keep current with all technology changes.
