Associate Engagement Manager

SUMMARY:

This role will be responsible for implementing, coordinating and supporting engagement initiatives to enhance the associate experience, while also creating a more inclusive and productive workforce to support our mission, vision and values. This position will report to the Regional Director of Human Resources and work in conjunction with hotel leadership teams to promote a highly engaging and collaborative work environment for Colwen associates.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support centralized associate engagement activities and initiatives that span across multiple locations

• Internal change leader dedicated to creating new, innovative, dynamic associate experiences and engagement initiatives

• Collaborate with property general managers to ensure smooth execution of initiatives

• Designs, implements, and monitors the progress of initiatives to ensure timeliness and deliverables are met

• Research and analyze best practices across all Colwen properties to ensure initiatives are competitive and utilize best practices

• Work closely with all Colwen properties to highlight and share associate engagement stories both internally and externally

• Work collaboratively with Colwen property General Managers and Regional Human Resources Managers to design, deploy, and evaluate effective engagement surveys to include action plans

• Participate as a member of Colwen hotels property pre-opening teams

• Collaborate with Regional Human Resources Managers to support Colwen property General Managers to develop strategies to link between pro-associate relations and the Colwen’s strategic goals

• Develop and launch a social media initiative that will change the way Colwen communicates and interacts with its associates

• Support Colwen’s Learning Management System

• Create and develop a 90-Day onboarding experience

• Coordinate associate events including monthly activities, associate recognition, anniversary/birthday celebrations, holiday parties, and community outreach

• Seated member of Colwen Culture Committee to drive culture initiatives

• Facilitate and deliver trainings as needed

• Perform other job duties as required

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• A high degree of creativity and “out-of-the-box” thinking

• Well-organized and able to implement

• Strong writing skills

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office products

• Ability to multi-task and manage priorities

• Bi-lingual communication in both English and Spanish highly preferred

• Understanding of how to interact with and energize a broad range of multi-generational diverse associate groups

• Advanced knowledge and utilization of social media platforms

• Ability to engage and motivate associates at all levels to participate in engagement initiatives

• Travel may be required up to 50% of the time

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Experience with a focus in the hospitality and/or a service industry highly preferred

• 1-3 years of experience within Human Resources and/or Associate Engagement

• Experience with corporate social responsibility initiatives
