Kayem Foods, Inc. Associate Brand Manager in Chelsea, Massachusetts
Kayem Foods is looking for an Associate Brand Manager to help manage product categories and drive future growth of the al fresco al natural brand and Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse sausage brand for both retail and food service settings. This role will be an integral part of setting up the brand and company for future growth opportunities. In this role you will work closely with the Marketing Director to develop and launch new products, identify key trends and work cross functionally with R&D, Operations, Finance and Sales. This role will report directly the Director of Marketing.
Lead brand innovation and product pipeline for retail and food service in the development and launching of new products, working with cross functional teams made up of internal and external resources (R&D, operations, finance, sales, packaging design, research, agency partners, etc.)
Identify key trends to recommend future product areas to focus on growth
Manage improvements, line extensions, and reformulations across the portfolio of brands
Ownership of project management process and tools for the full marketing team and brands
Help develop and support key brand building messaging and brand equity campaigns by leading external agencies in the briefing, development, and execution stages. This is inclusive of digital, social, TV, radio, out of home, sponsorship's and other emerging consumer tactics.
Manage the base business to identify key trends, opportunities, and risks across the portfolio at key accounts and be able to course correct where needed.
Create annual plans consisting of volume, budget, and timing of activities.
Manage the business to deliver annual planning numbers.
Lead pricing discussions and recommendations based on in market analysis (price cliffs, price elasticity, promotion lifts) as well as external factors (market conditions).
Assist in creating and presenting to leadership and sales teams. Be able to present to key retailers when called upon.
Skills and Requirements:
MBA preferred but related experience with a BA/BS will be taken highly into consideration (CPG, Advertising, project management, communications, or in a related business field)
Demonstrated project management skills with attention to details
Strong analytical orientation
Must understand a P&L and key cost drivers as part of innovation
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Highly collaborative within a diverse cross functional team
Thrives in unstructured environments with no such thing as a typical day
Self-starter who is more than willing to roll up their sleeves to advance project work

Working knowledge of MS Office products including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
Preferred candidates will have experience with IRI or other sales reporting systems
Must be able to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
