Safety Technology Holdings Director of Sales in Chelmsford, Massachusetts

Develop and manage Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service functions to maintain strong existing customer relationships while successfully creating and driving new sales opportunities. Work in conjunction with other departments to realize new business, product and technology opportunities in existing aerospace, industrial and medical markets and in new market segments.

Key Role Deliverables:

  • Assists with creation and implementations of strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve corporate growth goals for the company.

  • Researches and identifies new business opportunities at existing customers and within currently served market segments.

  • Manages HITEC direct sales, sales representatives, distributor relationships, and works with regional sales managers as appropriate for sales rep/customer engagements as well as setting goals and targets and reporting results on a regular basis.

  • Directly manages and mentors the customer service team to coordinate timely and accurate processing and communication of quotations, orders, lead times, new inquiry processing, shipping dates, product returns and other related activities.

  • Directly manages HITEC’s regional sales managers.

  • As a member of the HITEC Management Team, participates in the development, implementation and administration of business and operating goals and objectives for the company.

  • Assists in market research and analysis for new and existing products and technologies.

  • Develops ideas and opportunities that promote awareness of the company, including assisting in the development of marketing materials and event planning.

  • Maintains file on market and key competitors’ activities.

  • Champions organization’s use of CRM system to monitor pipeline program activities.

  • Participates in sales forecasting activities including preparation of Annual Budget and Forecast Updates.

  • Coordinates sales efforts, negotiation and monitoring of all business agreements, contracts and purchase orders.

  • Routinely communicates and/or meets with key customers.

  • Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations of Customer Service and Administrative staff.

  • Develops and controls expenditures of sales related budget items.

  • Global sales and marketing responsibility.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Travel 25% - 30%.

Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in a technical discipline from a four-year college or university; 5 – 7 years successful sales and sales management; experience in industrial or sensor sales management is preferred.
