The Communications Coordinator supports Beth Israel Lahey Health Marketing and Communications teamsby providing administrative, editing and writing support on projects and initiatives designed to foster employee engagement and enhance the public reputation of the BILH system and its member hospitals and business units. The Communications Coordinator works closely with all areas of Marketing and Communications, including client liaisons, project management, and MarComm Centers of Expertise.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

Supporting the Marketing and Communications teama in the implementation of strategies and tactics designed to inform and engage BILH's internal community of approximately 36,000 clinicians and staff across Eastern Massachusetts, and external audiences including patients, families and community members.

Providing administrative, editorial and technical support in the production and distribution of newsletters and broadcast emails.

Drafting and editing communications copy and ensuring that messages are communicated in a clear, timely and effective manner and that they reflect BILH's mission, strategic goals and business objectives.

Collaborating with others to integrate and align communications content across the system.

Managing the BILH Communications email in-boxes (when needed) to ensure thorough and timely responses.

Compiling regular reports for key internal stakeholders, including senior leaders. Support the development of communications tools for hospitals and business units as appropriate

Collaborating with colleagues to ensure timely posting of news on BILH-owned websites and social media accounts.

Compiling and formatting reports and PowerPoint presentations for members of the team.

Supporting the MarComm leaders in advancing the business goals of hospitals, clinical units, and/or system services.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required. 1-3 years related work experience required. Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

Preferred Qualifications:

Communications Experience.
