Bike Shop Assistant Manager/Head Mechanic 66 Thunder Mountain Rd, Charlemont, MA, USA 20-23 per hour \$20 - \$23 Hourly SeasonalIncludes season pass, bike industry perks, discounts on food & merchandise, friends & family vouchers Bike Shop Assistant Manager/Head Mechanic - Thunder Mountain Bike Park Thunder Mountain Bike Park is looking for a Bike Shop Assistant Manager/Head Mechanic to help lead our Shop and Rentals for the 2025 season. This role involves working alongside the Shop Manager to oversee bike maintenance and repairs, managing shop operations, and ensuring top-quality service for both our rental fleet and guest bikes. Responsibilities: Lead and support the bike shop team in daily operations Assemble, repair, and maintain downhill and enduro bikes Diagnose issues, estimate repair costs, and provide customer quotes Manage parts inventory, ordering, and pricing Maintain service records for rental fleet maintenance Ensure the shop is clean, organized, and well-stocked Train and assist mechanics with repairs and customer service Sell products and services using POS software Communicate effectively with management and other departments Qualifications: 2+ years of bike shop experience Strong knowledge of current mountain bike technology and repair processes Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage a team in a fast-paced environment Passion for downhill mountain biking and enthusiasm to promote TMBP Weekends and Holidays are required to fulfill this role.
