The purpose of this role is to learn about and assist in the creation of engaging, inviting, and innovative restaurant spaces across a multi-brand organization with an eye to detail, market trends, technical, and business needs. A hands-on entry-level or design student and a collaborative player, this role interacts with Concept Design Managers, Brand Design Directors, and Brand leadership such as Marketing and Operations within a matrix organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists in the creation of conceptual renderings, in Sketchup, Adobe Suite, Rino, Autocad, Revit, or any other relevant platform that answers the creative brief and aligns with brand positioning, segmentation, and brand identity

• Ability to create effective 3D model/visualizations, draft material selection, color selection, and draft furniture selection

• Self-manages work based on pre-defined ask and deliverable expectations. Able to track and report on project status

• Communicate with the store planning team, Brand Design Director, and Concept Director for all relevant matters regarding the design project

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATION:

• Currently enrolled in architecture, interior design, or other relevant programs of study

• Preferred: 1-2 previous interns of co-ops with a design firm.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Ability to multi-task effectively

• Strong team orientation and interpersonal skills

• Well-organized and a self-starter

• Excellent attention to detail

• Strong technical sketchup, Adobe Suite, ACAD proficiency to develop impactful visualization to help convey concept ideas.

• Proficient in reading and understanding architectural, structural, mechanical, and technical engineering documents.
