Robert Half International User Experience (UX) Designer in Cambridge, Massachusetts
The Creative Group is working with a client who needs an User Experience (UX) Designer. The User Experience (UX) Designer oversees research, interviews, and surveys, and then highlights the results via sitemaps, wireframes, and prototypes. In conjunction with your primary tasks, you will also design the overall functionality of the product and iterate upon it to ensure a great user experience. We need a creative thinker who enjoys working independently as well as collaborating with colleagues for this position. This full-time employment opportunity is based in the Cambridge, Massachusetts area.
What you get to do every single day
Areas of focus may include content, controls, visual design, packaging, customer/technical support, branding, and other aspects of user experience
Overseeing usability testing on prototypes or finished products to assess the quality of a user experience
Assisting other team members as needed (QA, data entry, production updates, resizing of graphics, etc.)
Designing satisfying or compelling experiences for users of a product, drawing on results from user research and workflow analysis
Partnering with other members of the digital marketing team on the development of new initiatives
Partnering with business users and application developers to translate requirements into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
Creating tools such as personas, usage scenarios, site maps, taxonomies, and wireframes
A portfolio featuring UX (wireframes/prototypes/other UX artifacts) and visual design work
5+ years of experience within the digital design/UX industry
Strong attention to detail
Understanding of prototype/mockup software (e.g. Sketch, Balsamiq, Zeplin)
Knowledge of graphic design, video editing, web development, and photography applications such as Adobe Creative Suite
Excellent knowledge of design software applications and tools
Strong interpersonal skills are a huge plus for this position
Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing
- Well versed Web Accessibility and testing tools (e.g. Lighthouse, Google Accessibility Developer Tools)
Solid understanding of Customer Journey Mapping
User Requirements experience required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, relevant experience
