IBM Training and Enablement Leader, Go To Market, Turbonomic in Cambridge, Massachusetts


We're looking for a strategic thinker with the ability to drive development of enablement strategy to help us achieve revenue growth goals. You'll be a hands-on leader; with the willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done. A critical thinker with a results-driven mindset and the ability to articulate and deliver ideas across mediums (oral, visual, written, etc.) and listen to feedback of others, you possess excellent change, program, and project management skills. Responsible for all global enablement and sales training, that consists of subject matters experts, providing Turbonomic's sales team with the pre-sales support, content and learning they need to succeed.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver wide ranging programs, training and tools that improve the effectiveness and productivity of our sales force.

  • Global cross- functional collaboration across all levels of the organization.

  • Work with key stakeholders at the management/executive level to assess and understand skills and enablement needs, define options, and translate them into actionable and measurable program objectives and goals.

  • Lead the execution of technical training programs such as classes, workshops, learning modules, and other job aids.

  • Invite and collaborate closely with subject matter and role experts to contribute their knowledge, frameworks, and existing content to prioritized topics in the enablement architecture for each role.

  • Design and implement metrics to measure training programs and impact, effectiveness, appropriateness, and utility.

  • Create written content to educate sales team and advance deals such as case studies, competitive information fact sheets, product collateral, and custom work.

  • Gather feedback from sales team on a regular basis to constantly improve and support programs.

  • Provide thought leadership, innovation and creativity to deliver enablement and programs in new and unique ways to improve time to market, learner time to productivity, and deliver customer scenario-based learning and assessments.

  • Ensure ready access of the right content by the right customer-facing teams at the right time, in the right place in the customer journey and that teams are well versed in content and messaging (both for existing products and new product launches)

  • Partnering with Product Marketing, Sales/Account Management, Customer Success and HR teams for building and overseeing on-boarding and ongoing training programs that develop and retain sales talent.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 7 years+ experience in Sales Enablement leadership, Sales Training, or similar role

  • Experience successfully building and leading a Sales Enablement function

  • Expert in Sales Enablement tools and one or more sales methodologies

  • Understanding of the needs of a Sales org and experience building right content

  • Experience developing sales plays/playbooks

  • Experienced trainer and coach

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Preferably has a background in sales or sales leadership
