  • Demonstrate effective writing, communication, interpersonal, time management, and project management skills

  • Seek out and learn new technologies

  • Can handle complex and confidential matters with discretion and maturity

  • Experience in an academic setting is helpful, as is experience with event planning and website maintenance

As a Student Affairs Coordinator you will:

  • Maintain student records and administer degree voting process

  • Monitor and report on progress of Doctor of Juridical Science (S.J.D.) candidates toward degree requirements

  • Communicate with students, faculty, and other administrators about student status

  • Plan, execute, and advertise weekly colloquia, meetings, examinations, and other student events

  • Share responsibility for planning and executing orientation programming and other complex events for LL.M., S.J.D., and exchange students and visitors

  • Maintain department and S.J.D. student web pages and informational materials and course pages for fellowship roles, colloquia, and other events

  • Administer department financial processing, including reimbursements and vendor payments, and hiring and payroll processing for Graduate Program fellows

  • Provide guidance to Graduate Program Fellows on logistics and event planning

  • Manage S.J.D. office space; serve as a first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors; and share office management and primary front desk responsibility for the Graduate Program and International Legal Studies Department

  • Serve as an IT point person and identify and implement technological initiatives and process improvements

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Summary:

The Graduate Program Student Affairs Coordinator is a member of a team that supports Graduate Program students and visiting researchers in their academic, student life, and co-curricular pursuits and provides assistance to other members of the Graduate Program and International Legal Studies department as needed.
