Who we are

Raytheon BBN is seeking to hire a manager to develop and cultivate business development focused on intelligence community advanced technology and the components of the military and intelligence community.

Raytheon BBN performs Science and Technology (S&T) work primarily TRL 5 and below, so the candidate should have familiarity with the offices that specialize in that maturity of technology.

What you will do

This position is focused on motivating business performance and growth in all areas of technology across BBN, including machine learning, communications, sematic knowledge, PNT, C2, autonomy, and other areas.

The candidate will collaborate with the different BBN business units, principal investigators, business unit managers and program managers to open up new opportunities for S&T growth in the Intelligence Community components of government.

The candidate manages and administers BBN’s access

to IC customer classified RFIs, BAAs, RFPs and blind solicitations and distributes information to BBN BUs on a timely basis.

the candidate will be responsible to establish and maintain positive customer relationships, assist in writing white papers and proposals, assessing and documenting markets and market analysis, and develop company-wide new tech strategies and new business thrusts.

This position splits their focus between leading and developing business with key agencies within the Intelligence Community (IC) and serving as a Senior Technical Program Manager.

Identify business development opportunities in Science and Technology.

Write/collaborate on white papers/proposals

Develop customer and client relationships

Collaborate across BBN business units and functional organizations

Conceptualize new business and tech development opportunities

Track solicitation and market development opportunities

Assess, analyze, and document government business markets

Develop opportunities across the IC “markets” for system and subsystem ideas

Collaborate with all four business units

Develop growth strategies across Raytheon BBN business

Collaborate with other Raytheon Technologies RIS business units

Lead capture and pursuit assessments to identify and make recommendations on bid performance improvement.

Lead assessment of proposal development, lead formation of capture teams, and spearhead selected proposal efforts.

What you will need

Master’s degree; preferably in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (or other technical related field).

Minimum of 10 years’ experience; preferably in a customer Science and Technology (S&T) environment.

Active TS/SCI clearance

Demonstrated results in a research and development environment.

Demonstrated proficiency in business development

Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally

Meaningful communication and collaboration skills

Demonstrated expertise with proposals and white papers

Demonstrated expertise in business development with DARPA, IARPA, IC, DIU or a meaningful subset of the grouping.

Additional desired skills/experience

Program management experience

Ability to manage, track and report metrics and progress through EAC reviews, PPR's, FPR's, CPR's, and finance reviews or equivalent process review

Market analysis approach understanding
