Biogen Sr Manager, Global Customer & Market Insights-Alzheimer's Disease in Cambridge, Massachusetts
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success across Biogen’s Alzheimer’s disease portfolio as a strategic partner to the Global Commercial/Marketing team, and to shape the insight function within Biogen as an individual contributor. The Senior Manager, Global Customer & Market Insights, is expected to be a proactive thought partner to commercial leads during the critical pre-launch period, to proactively plan, design, and lead market research activities to provide strategic insights and actionable recommendations. The role is required to leverage technical skills in strategic insight generation - market research and competitive intelligence, as well as analytics to support business decisions and think strategically to build and drive utilization of aligned insight frameworks. The senior manager will also support the development of capabilities and process excellence within the Customer & Market Insights team. * * What You’ll Do * * Strategic Thinking: independently design/identify the ideal approach to answering complex business questions pulling from all available internal and external data sources * *Expert Insight Generation: Lead the generation of insights in collaboration with the commercial/brand leads and extended cross functional, US and ex-US affiliate stakeholders to support launch readiness o Primary Market Research Execution: strong project/ vendor management skills including the ability to structure business questions into executable research studies with actionable outcomes o Competitive Intelligence: co-lead a cross-functional Competitive Readiness Team; manage deliverables such as regular market landscape report and congress monitoring * Strategic Brand Planning: ownership of key insight frameworks (customer journey, market map, buying process) that drive team thinking for the annual brand planning process * Stakeholder Engagement: build key relationships with affiliate and cross-functional experts, to define problems, design research, and synthesize insights to support commercial team decision making * Performance Metrics: lead the ongoing measurement of global key performance indicators aligned to brand strategy * Work with the Customer & Market Insight Leadership Team to identify and implement improvements to team operations Who You Are You are passionate about using market insights to solve key business problems. This individual is collaborative, creative, and adept at using market research and consultative expertise to structure problems and generate insights to contribute to brand strategy – always with the patient in mind. #LI-JH1 * 4-6 years of experience within a life sciences consulting firm, pharmaceutical company, or market research vendor supporting the pharma/biotech industry * Education: B.S. in business, life sciences, pharmacy, or chemistry, MBA or advanced life sciences degree desired * Driven, highly self-motivated, confident, high-energy, bright and creative individual with desire and ability to own a high-profile part of the business * Strong project management skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously * Excellent communication skills, particularly presentation skills, with the ability to synthesize and succinctly communicate information to various audiences * Strong understanding of market research and marketing principles * Analytical horsepower – strong analytic and quantitative skill set * Highly collaborative, team player – must be able to navigate in a matrix environment and manage the needs of multiple stakeholders Preferred Skills * Experience in one or more of the following disease areas preferred: neurology, psychiatry, depression, immunology, rare disease All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
