We are looking for a Senior Communications Manager who specializes in Crisis Management messaging to join our Security Solution Sales organization. This role will serve as the subject matter expert on rapid customer outreach and crisis communications in all incident response forums across Microsoft and will have responsibility for developing customer-facing content and guidance for field and partners globally.
The ideal candidate will have a background in crisis communications and will be capable of quickly synthesizing complex information. In this role, you will be working with limited information during evolving security situations, therefore, a combination of strong crisis management and storytelling skills as well as the ability to foster cooperation and trust across teams including Sales, Engineering, Marketing, and Communications will be critical.

Createproactive and reactive communications guidance and materials to support customers, partners, and the field in response to security incidents
Work in partnership with incident response and communications teamsandserve as the subject matter expert on rapid customer outreach and customer crisis communications
Train and prepare senior leadership and subject matters experts for external incident response engagement with customers and partners
Develop project documentation to ensure drive visibility and allow for asynchronous collaboration on communications plans
7+ years of public relations / communications experience
Expertise in developing crisis communications plans
Experience applying best practices related to crisis preparation and response
Track record of managing through ambiguity and high-stakes crisis situations
Ability to collaborate and coordinate across boundaries and at all levels
High level of integrity and ability to maintain the confidentiality of highly sensitive material

LOCATION : Must be within a 3-hour timezone difference to Redmond, WA.
