Cell & Gene Therapy Business Unit (CGT BU), part of the Life Science & Laboratory Products Group (LSLPG) and the Bioproduction Group (BPG).
How will you make an impact?
The Senior Sales Manager, Cell & Gene Therapy (CGT) role will directly impact our mission of making the world healthier by leading a high-performing selling team of Business Development Managers within the CGT BU. You will lead your team with a focus on driving adoption of our platforms into cell and gene therapy manufacturing processes, contributing to the advancement of critical therapies and resulting in revenue growth by share gain in the CGT markets.
Remotely based in a major market in the Eastern US including Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington D.C., or Raleigh-Durham.
What will you do?
Lead and enable a team of field-based business development professionals towards revenue goal achievement.
Create and implement go-to-market strategies that align to those of the Business Unit and internal stakeholders’ CGT initiatives.
Develop strategic plans for key customers to ensure long term growth and profitability driven by the team.
Support strategic, senior-level customer relationships that yield collaborative partnerships.
Develop/implement processes and best practices to include CRM, training, forecasting, planning, compensation, and sales processes.
Facilitate complex global deals and projects between our customers and our internal support organizations while acting as an internal champion to ensure proper execution.
Create the annual operating plan for the business development team.
Align talent development and talent pipeline with revenue goals and strategic objectives of the Business Unit.
Role reports to Global Commercial Director.
How will you get here?
Bachelor’s Degree required, advanced degree preferred.
5-7+ years of life science sales experience, selling capital equipment/instrumentation to biotech/pharma industry.
2+ years of sales management (direct reports).
Proven sales strategies and personal selling effectiveness, communications skills, client relationship management skills.
Understanding of cell and gene therapy markets from pre-clinical through manufacturing and commercialization; ability to analyze and evaluate markets.
Possession of advanced analytical, business planning and presentation skills.
Effective management and development of high-performing teams with demonstrated team building skills, inspirational leadership and the ability to resolve conflict.
Ability to influence without authority and work well in a matrixed environment.
Proficiency in computer applications, including virtual meeting tools, organizational project management tools, Excel and Powerpoint required
Ability to travel up to 50%.
Position may require Covid-19 vaccination and/or routing testing, per client discretion.
