The Digital Security and Resilience Red Team is the internal penetration testing and offensive security team tasked with identifying potential security vulnerabilities in the systems and technologies that Microsoft uses to run our business . Our team has responsibility for identifying and managing technical security risk across Microsoft’s enterprise environment, including Microsoft Global office locations, worldwide data centers environments, and IT applications and services in Azure.

We are looking for a Senior Program Manager to improve and expand our team’s operational activities and processes. As part of a high impact security team, you will be empowered to lead and work across the Microsoft Digital organization and with our partners including One Commerce, Global Sales and Marketing, and multiple product teams, to raise the bar for protecting the Microsoft enterprise. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Program Manager with a track record in delivering success for highly technical teams. The Red Team Program Manager is responsible for supporting the end-to-end delivery of offensive security activities by managing our workflows and team processes, engaging our stakeholders, and embracing a data-driven approach to risk.

Alongside the operational management of our day-to-day activities, the Red Team Program Manager is a key driver of our improvement initiatives, delivering high-quality enhancements to our tooling, processes, and procedures.


  • Own the end-to-end operational processes for Red Team engagements

  • Engage with our stakeholders to the highest quality of delivery

  • Support cross-organizational working through engagement with partner Red Teams

  • Partner closely with Microsoft product teams to resolve issues and build the world-class security features that Microsoft and our customers need.

  • Provide regular, executive-level updates and escalations when necessary.


Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in a technical program management or similar role

  • 8+ years of experience working with technical security teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience with penetration testing or offensive security teams strongly preferred

  • 6+ years of experiences producing quality technical documentation

  • 6+ years of experience securing cloud solutions

  • Extensive leadership skills, including the ability to influence without authority and collaborate effectively across multiple business groups with clear intent

  • Ability to work effectively and collaborate across diverse teams, with different styles, in a matrix environment

  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to write concise technical documentation

  • Excellent judgment, decision making skills, and the ability to work with deadlines

  • Excellent presentation skills and experience presenting to management

  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
