Microsoft Corporation Senior Program Manager in Cambridge, Massachusetts

The Cloud + AI, Commerce and Ecosystems (C+E) team enables one of Microsoft’s most business-critical needs: digital monetization of products and services. C+E is developing some of Microsoft’s largest scale, most business-critical cloud services. These services have a huge global footprint of over 240 markets and processes millions of transactions daily, with volumes growing rapidly as Microsoft transitions to a fully cloud-powered services and devices company. The platform powers all of Microsoft’s key businesses.

The Commerce Platform & Experiences team (CPX), within C+E, is responsible for building and shipping releases to accelerate the business and customer adoption of our New Commerce platform. We are looking for a Senior Program Manager who will work E2E to define, execute and deliver scenarios that help accelerate and improve commerce at Microsoft. In this role you will get the opportunity to think strategically and work across both business and engineering teams to design and build features. You will solve problems and drive work across these various groups while maintaining a focus on partner and customer requirements and the mutual strategic direction.

We’re looking for a Program Manager who is excited about an opportunity to make a significant impact on how we accelerate Commerce at Microsoft.

Responsibilities

Feature Development: Driving new features E2E across various engineering teams to maximize business and customer impact. You will transform business requirements into system requirements and drive all aspects of software delivery across 10+ development teams to deliver on E2E scenarios. You anticipate and manage project risks. You understand the relevant technologies for the program and know how to partner with your Engineering team to implement and ship features. You will define the right KPIs to measure the impact of features.

Customer Focus: You will passionately represent our customers, partners and sellers. You should expect customer feedback to guide your work. A successful candidate will show empathy for customers, be sensitive to their needs and use teamwork to deliver a great user experience while aligning with business strategy and compliance requirements.

Data-driven decision making: Analyzing data to understand how your feature is doing and what your next steps should be to increase impact.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Program or Product Management experience working on an enterprise scale product.

  • BA or BS degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems) or equivalent 4+ years work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to impact/influence engineering and project teams delivering multiple ship cycles.

  • Demonstrated experience working as part of a team to solve technical, quality, and schedule challenges as part of software development.

  • Business and Commerce experience working with Partners and Sellers.

  • Track record of exhibiting Technical depth and quick ramp up on new products and technologies.

  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to understand business and sales concepts, Write concise and accurate technical requirements and communicate technical ideas.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.

  • Deep customer & user empathy, and ability to identify customer needs.

  • Exceptional problem solving, strategic thinking and technical skills.

  • Planning and executing large scale projects across multiple organizations and disciplines.

  • A strong background of influencing others, bias towards action, and a self-starter.

  • Ability to obtain clearance to work on Government contracts.
