The Microsoft Information Protection team delivers world-class products and services, powered by data science and ML, that keep data safe and secure, not just across Microsoft clouds, but multi-cloud as well. Our team’s portfolio spans Microsoft 365, Azure, Dynamics 365, with more under incubation.

We’re looking for a Senior Program Manager who can help us deliver product growth in the Data Protection space. Bring your energy, your experience, your creativity. We want our teams to be as diverse as the problems we are trying to solve.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the full product lifecycle of data protection features within the team:

  • Ownership: Your work cuts across all stages of the product lifecycle that leads to the customer’s data being more secure – starting with customer requirement gathering, feature planning and design, writing product specifications, working with engineering to deliver the feature to market, and finally monitoring the on-going operation and usage.

  • Telemetry: You will own our strategy and execution on telemetry, to collect, analyze, and synthesize insights into customer success and progress toward our product objectives.

  • Customer empathy: You demonstrate a deep empathy for the customer and their painpoints, and improve product fundamentals.

  • Partnerships: You will collaborate with multiple teams across Microsoft clouds and ensure strong communication with stakeholders on progress towards delivery, technical challenges, and clarity on the customer needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Product or Program Management experience in security services, cloud services or software products

Desired Qualifications:

  • Self-starter, technically curious and proficient working with engineering to ensure architecture and designs meet customer needs.

  • Effective and flexible communication skills, both verbal and written. You will need competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook to effectively collaborate across multiple teams and disciplines and engage with external customers.

  • Comfortable with breaking down and solving complex and often ambiguous problems using quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, to make progress on our big goals.

  • Prior experience in collaborating across geographies to drive efficient and harmonious execution is a plus.

  • Prior experience with Microsoft’s security and compliance solutions and products is a plus.
